Tithing, giving offerings, and having faith in God for financial provision are all key components of a life lived according to the Bible. In spite of our human tendency to fear and live according to the spirit of the world, these habits can serve as a reminder that we can have confidence in God’s provision.

When we tithe, give offerings, and trust God for our financial needs, we are actively choosing to put our trust in Him. We are relying on Him instead of worldly forces that are out of our control. When we demonstrate this kind of faith and obedience, we open ourselves up to receiving blessings from God.

The Bible talks extensively about tithing and how it is an act of worship. It is an outward sign that demonstrates our commitment to being obedient to God's will and trusting Him with everything. The Bible promises that if we give out of faith, then God will reward us (Malachi 3:10). This means that when we tithe or give offerings out of faith and obedience to His Word, then He will bless us in return.

Most importantly, tithing is an act of praise and thanksgiving for all the ways He provides for us and meets our needs each day. When we rely on Him for our finances instead of worrying about what the world has to offer us, then it reminds us that He has everything under control no matter what circumstances arise.

It is essential for Christians to remember this truth when faced with financial difficulty or uncertainty; instead of living according to the spirit of the world by remaining fearful or anxious over money matters, they can choose to have faith in God’s promise not only to provide but also take care all their needs (Matthew 6:25-34).

Through tithing and offering up their resources back into His kingdom, believers can experience a greater level of security knowing that their trust remains firmly placed in God rather than any other external forces or systems which cannot be relied upon today like they could be centuries ago when these scriptures were written. What’s more is that taking part in these practices further develops Christian’s spiritual growth as they cultivate a deeper relationship with Christ through active obedience and trust.

Ultimately, it should be remembered that financial provision is best found when Christians choose not worry but instead tithe faithfully according the Bible with full confidence in its promises; walking humbly before God leads them down a path toward peace and contentment in their lives as His grace carries them through every trial or tribulation along the way (Philippians 4:6-7).

God has set a system in place that no matter what country, city or time you are living in you can always prosper and live in abundant life with all of your needs met. So that you can have plenty to be a distributor of the goodness and the blessing of God to others.

What is this system you may ask… Or I’ve tried this before nothing seems to be working. God has done his part through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and gave you that same victory in every arena of life including your finances and prosperity once you make Jesus your Lord and Savior. The Bible tells us to consider our ways.

1. Tithe

“Will a man rob or defraud God? Yet you rob and defraud Me. But you say, In what way do we rob or defraud You? [You have withheld your] tithes and offerings. You are cursed with the curse, for you are robbing Me, even this whole nation. [Lev. 26:14-17.] Bring all the tithes (the whole tenth of your income) into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and prove Me now by it, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. [Mal. 2:2.] And I will rebuke the devourer [insects and plagues] for your sakes and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground, neither shall your vine drop its fruit before the time in the field, says the Lord of hosts. And all nations shall call you happy and blessed, for you shall be a land of delight, says the Lord of hosts.”
‭‭Malachi‬ ‭3:8-12‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Tithing which is the first 10% of your income goes to the kingdom of God. When you withhold it you become a thief. I didn’t say that. The word of God says that. His word is the Supreme authority for every born again believer. Then the door is open for Satan to steal from you.

However when you become a tither and make it your priority to give God the first 10% of all of your increase satan is rebuked and anything that would devour your finances. Once you start tithing and tithe faithfully you enact a spiritual principle and a law that works every time everywhere no matter where he may live no matter what the financial climate is.

2. Give over and above your tithe and give offerings.

Giving and receiving is a spiritual law and it works in all arenas for Christians and non-Christians alike. You might say to me but Melissa you don’t understand the nation that I live in the dollar is failing. businesses are closing, there’s no way even in the natural that I can prosper. There is another really that controls this realm and you can enact a financial blessing by obeying the word of God. The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus makes you free from the law of sin and death. Just like Isaac did. Lets take a look.

“AND THERE was a famine in the land, other than the former famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Gerar, to Abimelech king of the Philistines. And the Lord appeared to him and said, Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I will tell you. Dwell temporarily in this land, and I will be with you and will favor you with blessings; for to you and to your descendants I will give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father. And I will make your descendants to multiply as the stars of the heavens, and will give to your posterity all these lands (kingdoms); and by your Offspring shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, or by Him bless themselves, [Gen. 22:18; Acts 3:25, 26; Gal. 3:16.]

Then Isaac sowed seed in that land and received in the same year a hundred times as much as he had planted, and the Lord favored him with blessings. And the man became great and gained more and more until he became very wealthy and distinguished;”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭26:1-4, 12-13‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Giving causes you to operate in an opposite spirit of the world which is generosity instead of hoarding things up for yourself or holding onto things in fear. You can see here that when Isaac sowed in a time of famine he received 100 fold in the same year. I like what the amplified translation says here. It says he became great and gained more and more until he became very wealthy and distinguished! That’s God’s plan for you! He wants to use you as an advertisement of his goodness and make you a divine distribution center for the goodness of God and his kingdom and to others.

3. Say something different.

You can’t say what the world is saying and expect dad’s results. Acting on the word includes tithing, giving over and above your ties and offering, and also making sure your mouth which is the writer of your life is in agreement with God’s plan for prosperity with you. What does that mean? That means you can’t be saying I don’t know what I’m gonna do… I don’t know how I’m gonna make it… How am I going to pay my bills… How is my business going to survive… You can’t say what the world is saying and expect gods results. Acting on the word includes typing, giving over and above your ties offering, and also making sure your mouth which is the writer of your life is in agreement with gods plan for prosperity with you. What does that mean? That means you can’t be saying I don’t know what I’m gonna do… I don’t know how I’m gonna make it… How am I going to pay my bills… How was my business going to survive… No! You must say what God says about you and your situation. Remember life and death is in the power of your tongue. So that means you must say no matter the circumstances my God meets and supplies all of my needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

“II Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work...”

Do this and you will be blessed! Remember you must be a doer of the word and not a hearer only deceiving your own self. You don’t have to struggle and you don’t have to go without. Jesus already paid the price you now cooperate with him and what he’s done for you and enforce it in the earth and where you live.

Have you ever put something off.. waited longer than necessary to start a project or finish a project, do the laundry, clean the car, get organized and complete a goal?

I have done that. I have put off writing, cleaning, booking a trip, and doing the laundry. Why do we do it?

Not Enough Time. Everyone has the same 24 hours a day. It’s how we choose to spend our time that determines our future.

Too Many Projects. Melissa, you don’t understand, I have so many things going on at one time. My responsibilities at work, taking care of my children, household chores and keeping up my friendships.

Laziness. Being lazy is often a culprit in preventing us from spending time on the things that really matter.

Distractions. This is a big one. How much time do you spend watching television or on social media?

Lack of Energy. After you spend time on all the other demands of life, you often feel like getting up earlier to accomplish your goals is not possible.

No Motivation. You are so burned out you don’t see how making changes will affect your future.

Fear. Anxiety and Fear sometimes paralyze us from doing the things we know we need to do.

Just like in natural responsibilities of life we sometimes put off. You can do the same with your spiritual life. To grow spiritually and have a victorious Christian life you must do certain things. Not only to maintain a certain level of victory but to see supernatural growth you must continue in these practices.

What are 3 things I can do everyday to walk in victory?

1. Read your Bible to renew your mind to the new creature in Christ you have become. “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful.” JOSHUA‬ ‭1:8‬ ‭AMP‬‬ ‬

2. Speak words of life and Victory into your day and future.

3. Pray in tongues. He who speaks in an unknown tongue speaks not unto man but unto God, howbeit he speaks mysteries. “For one who speaks in an unknown tongue does not speak to people but to God; for no one understands him or catches his meaning, but by the Spirit he speaks mysteries [secret truths, hidden things].”

‭‭1 CORINTHIANS‬ ‭14:2‬ ‭AMP‬‬

We have to prioritize reading our Bible, speaking the Word of God and praying in tongues. If you don't put the things of God first they will fall lower and lower on your to do list and will sometimes not ever get done. Or be done so infrequently you don't see progress or lasting results.

You must make the Word of God and spending time with the Holy Spirit your top priority. When you do. Life will take on new meaning and purpose. You will have vision for you future and begin to see the progress in your life your wanting.

Whatever your need is be it financial, physical or something in your family,He has all the answers. You have to get it from spending time with Him and his Word. All it takes is a decision that you act upon. Start today. Use the links I provided here and get started. It will forever change your life.

What are some time stealers that keep you from making time with God and His Word first place?
